  • im sorry just read a comment on here saying that we should be more caring about whitney houston well im sorry to say no one made her take drugs that was her desicion and it has runied her voice she is not a diva no more sorry she is great but no now her voice has gone

  • Nobody forced her to start, but she made her own decision to stop and that's a very difficult thing to do. If you saw her performance on Oprah, I don't see how you'd say her voice is "gone."

  • i see what you did. at 3.19, you go back to the GMA sound - the aired version, which is why that final "Tell Me No" chorus is so smooth.

weird. i remember when this first aired, and i remember thinking then that i could tell they were substituting the studio recording for the live vocal, during the chorus - very skillfully done, but still obvious. i was at the GMA performance in Central Park two mornings ago, and they pulled that same clean-up trick when it aired yesterday morning.

  • Yeah but the cleanup trick this time was a LOT more subtle. They slipped the second verse in there on Million Dollar Bill so sneaky that I almost couldn't tell. Though I wish they hadn't dubbed over parts of I Look To You. They had to lower the pitch to match the live version which made it sound very strange.

  • when was this?

  • December 2002, for the release of the album "Just Whitney"

  • I would never call anyone a hasbeen..Whitney is just one good cd away from being on top.But was a very bad performance period. And as far as the excuses of voices aging with time please look at Patti,Tina,Natalie,Chaka,Gladys, and a host of other divas who are getting older..lol

  • She was high off her ass.

  • @deantammyspain200 ok she made her choices and suffered the consequences from this, but anyone who is diva, leave to be one. She maybe will not sing as old days and in my opinion even she didn't have involved with drugs she wouldn't sing as before, but diva she is always be, because she did great things for the music. Things that many popstars today have not done.

  • Look at the fans. See with Whitney she has nothing to prove to them because they're loyal fans and still in awe of her because they know that her resume was impeccable'!!!!!!!! When I see Ms Houston in concert I will not be checking for the highest note, I'll just being enjoying whatever she has to give because she's legend and always will be!!!! No one can take that away from her, especially the critics! See you in the States Ms. Houston!!!!

  • let him who's with out sin cast the first stone...she paid for her mistake....why not celebrate her as an individual bouncing back, saying NO to death! she chose to live. Come on!

  • I see you're a fan and my comment has upset you, but it's my opinion and I am musically inclined. How is my comment stupid and dumb? If it will calm you down a bit and help you refrain from using profanity, perhaps I should remove my comment. I think I will. Please try to calm yourself and have a wonderful day.

  • I LOVE it...the 2nd time she goes "Come on, come on, come on, COME ON!" I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • Bullfucking shit!!! I can NOT stand stupidity and your comment...right here...was dumb and...so that of a person who isn't musically inclined in N E WAY

  • And my opinion is different. I thought she was superb on Oprah's show and someone who was at the taping said her unaired rendition of "I Love the Lord" was one of the best ever. She may not be as good as the old days but she can still sing the hell out of a song.

  • Very true, Morocco was pretty good. And I love her recent performance on Oprah! She's back, and doing a lot better than expected.
