  • Kristina is outstanding as is its large orchestra and cast, I prefer the English translation but respect those who favour the Swedish version, With Kevin doing his song justice and giving it all,Louise sang well too, The top singers are still Helen and Russell they are in a league of their own, two of the greatest talents you could ever wish to see on stage their vocals are unbelievable live, 10/10 entertainment at its best, for those who can appreciate great writers, singers, and musicians.

  • Starrysky, I don't think a fair comparison can be made unless one saw both men under similar circumstances. If you did than one must bow to your conviction but unless you were close enough to see the incredible nuance this kid brought to the part, you're making a comparison based on questionable criteria.

I think it's fair to say that with Russell Watson and Louise Pietre in the cast, this ensemble was stronger and by the end of the night, he was considered by most as the evening's revelation.

  • Swedish version is way way better and i know bjorn from ABBA who wrote it well my uncle knows him iv meet him twice =)

  • Not to take anything away from Kevin, who is a great singer, but I feel some of the magic! is lost, with translation into English.

Kristina the Musical/Opera; and cd is nearly four hours long, Its a masterpiece,

l think it should be staged in its native tongue, Swedish!

in the same way, that if you went to see a famous Italian Opera, that you know and love, and it was sung in English, would not be the same. imho.

  • @hakanloow90 I say the same, hence this Kevin guy uses his vibrato alot, and it sounds like opera, I LOVE PETER JÖBACKs version, and the person with his or her cellphone on, should be hanged! xD

  • Peter Jöbacks is acutally doing this song better then this Guy Kevin, it's sad to say that, but it's true. I can't understand why they don't have Peter instead, he would make it more touching. I'm not saying this because I am swedish, I say it because it's true.

  • tickets for the london concert at the royal albert hall go onsale tomorrow 21st jan 2010

  • Excellent vocal delivery. Let's hope this can be mounted in a lavish production like "Les Misérables". I do not agree with those critics who say the era of the lavish, epic musical is over. It just needs regenerating. Also, if ever this song gets translated into Spanish I would love to sing it!! ('Wouldn't complain in English either, of course!).

Esperemos que salga una traducción de esta canción en español. Me encantaría grabar e interpretarla yo mismo. ¿Quié no?

  • Creid buckets when I saw the show in Stockholm many years ago.

  • well having seen this live with Peter Joback I think Peter is so much better both in voice and performance
