Fact is you don't want to "learn" or "choose" to be gay. Why? Because you don't like men in that way, because the thought of having sex with a guy is a turn off to you. Why? Because you are wired that way. Just like gay people are wired to not like the opposite sex.

People use the "choice" or "learned" arguments to bolster their own bigotry and hatred.
