Legendary singer Michael Jackson died today at the UCLA Medical Center after suffering cardiac arrest.
He was 50 years old.
Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told the L.A,
times that the pop icon was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home and CPR was performed.

He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, but his death was announced shortly afterwards.

Released in 1982, Thriller represented the pinnacle of his recording career—winning eight Grammy Awards.
It still holds  the record for the biggest-selling album of all time.

He was in the midst of preparing for a series of concerts in London but rumors about the singers health had been raising questions about whether Jackson would actually perform all 50 shows.

I grew up with Michael Jackson, he was my idol and I have loved him all my life.
I am very sad about his death.
