www.SeeTheTrack.com showcases the Omega Neck Brace. This video shows some of the unique features found on the www.OmegaBrace.com. Also some shots of riding with the Brace.
Had a bad crash 2 months, cross-rutted at hi speed - 3 broken ribs, punctured lung, fractured collar bone & shattered scapula. If NOT for wearing the Omega neck brace, I may not have walked into the ER - or ever again. Regardless of brand, I'm a big advocate for wearing ANY type of brace.
@almostrider76 just to be clear... hyperextension means over-bending of the head in rearward direction, the over-bending in forward direction is called hyperflexion
@almostrider76 I use omega and I know others who use Leatt, Ive had plenty of crashes that could have potentially led to hyperextension in both directions, i can tell you now that it works. Ive had a 20ft drop on my head and chest with this on and the injuries were all muscular, my intercostals were frayed, shoulder blades and chest muscles bruised only. No broken or even sore collarbones, same for spine. The X1 is even better with more rear head tilt allowed and better straps.
i think this is a very stupid design because with the leatt or the evs evolution neckbrace, it stops hyperextention from the front and back with impact, this neckbrace only protects from the back and thats not right because hyperextension is most common in spinal cord injuries.
@hondaboy352 actualy, instead of just putting the pressure on one point, the leatt distributes it through the neckbrace reducing the impact on your spine etc.. no matter the neck brace, your are going to damage something. its only a matter how well it does it. and the omega, does not do it well at all
