Here is the speech given by Ronnie Tadesse, a Victoria Sparks Grantee, at the YouthScape Public Forum during the YouthScape National Gathering, held in November 2009, in Victoria British Columbia Canada. Ronnie was the lead facilitator on the Age to Engage, a district-wide conference for middle-school participants. The conference sought to inspire youth to become active in their communities. Ronnie shares her passion for youth engagement with a forum comprised of young people, policy makers, educators, practioners and funders. The Public Forum is part of the YouthScape national strategy to create a "community based. youth paced" movement in Canada.
