Stop The Hate

LGBT students have taken over the 24-hour room of the University Library at URI on the Kingston Campus in protest to unfair treatment, harassment, discrimination and hate. The students will remain in the 24-hour room until their demands are met.

I'm straight, but I'm totally for gay/bi rights. When people make fun of gays or call them names, it makes me so mad. People shouldn't be defined by their sexuality.

I have three bracelets that i made on my wrists right now. One say "hugs" with rainbow beads (like, hug a gay person(: ). Another says "love you" with rainbow beads (like, i love gay people). The ;last one says "pride" with rainbow beads. (like gay pride)

We were talking about gays in one of my classes last week.

Someone was wondering why i was so pro gay. she said "What, are you gay or something?!"

I said "no, but my brother is."

My question is where is the freedome we have been tought America stands for. We are supost to be able to believe how we believe and live how we live with out others forcing there belefs on us. Instead we have religious groups trying to force there beliefs that being gay, lesbian, bie, and transgendered is wrong because an out dated bood says so. Science is fact and science supports our stance.
