ok, i commented before i watched the whole video, for which i apologise, but i still dont agree with picking live rats up with tweezers/tongs. just move the mums out of the way, easier. mine just move away when i open the breeder boxes, its like they know what i'm going in for and accept it. great set up, you say you have to de-emotionalize yourself, but i can tell you care about them.. as do i x

can you please NOT pick up live baby rats with your tweezers, no wonder they are trying to bite you,.. yes you breed them for food, so do i, but u dont need to be cruel at the same time. no offence

Mice Direct makes a killing on breeding rodents + more same with rodent pro but again they make that money by selling them to snake breeders good point forget those people. And yes to answer someones question you do make a killing on this I am going to make a good 25,000 on one snake alone hopefully.

you know you say you dont like mice many people dont like mice my mom hates mice and no so much rats though but i respect your upinioun cause not many people like mice but how are snakes suposed to eat but i personaly dont realy like snakes but if its someone elses i trust that has a snake i will hold it and every thing but i woulnd want one but thats my upinioun so please dont take it the wrong way i respect your upinioun but i happen to actually like mice its a challenge to make them nice

My female gave birth to her first litter of 12 rats on Wednesday. Thanks for making the videos they really helped me out
I've been thinking about breeding rats but I'm worried about inbreeding, is it anything to worry about or should I try to separate them?

@rtivy8 dont worry about inbreeding for feeders. my doctor did breeding trials w/ rats in college and they d go way past F6 and have no problems (for feeders) not pets or genetic diversity

I used that EXACT design for my rat rack lol. I Only have 1 Rack, but I'm about to build 2 more because I have too many snakes and not enough rats to feed.

lol i have taken over the feeder breeding for an exotics rescue that has a ton of snakes/lizs. My trick is to have them look all the same, so i can never tell which one im taking out to play with. I will admit tho...i did fall in love with one, so now hes a stud who gets to sit on my shoulder as i do chores. Also if you want to make thier life better without being personal, just make little toys like hammocks, or trail mix wrapped in several tight layers of newspaper so they gotta chew at it.
