I was there that night at the Auditorium in Chicago.It was my very first concert. I was a high school senior working with that afternoon with a friend at local grill. He had 2 tickets for the concert, his date was sick, so he asked if I would go instead. I couldn't get my purple mini-dress on quick enough. I remember the deep red velvet seats and how Jim Morrison strutted about the stage in his black leather pants, stopping to take a swig of beer from his can on the floor. They were so intense.

Yes sometimes drugs is all that keeps us alive,and like life can also kill us. This group is a history lesson of contradictions none of which will matter if he (jim) was losing his looks. The group will go down in history as incredible

jim was starting to loose his looks and and couldnt hit the notes as good as he use too when he started becoming a alcoholic and doing hrd drugs

Greatest rock sound/show I ever heard bar none. This group is among the best of all time. I can listen to versions of light my fire all day, till I am dead. I hope to meet Morrison one day. I wish his dad was closer to him and then perhaps he would not have done drugs as much.
