@TwixV1 something similar happened to me a rivet from a skate got caught under my blade as I started my clean and it wasn`t until I finished my first pass that I saw the groove being cut into the ice. took me a number of just water floods to fill it in.

Your all actually wrong about the figure skaters. What actually happened is one of the pieces that keep the net in place got caught under the zamboni and was digging in the ice, the driver didnt notice and left one long line dug into the ice about 2 to 3 inches wide and about 2 to 3 inches deep. The players were just trying to fill the hole with snow. You will notice at 0:15 theres a long line in the ice where it dug in

they aren't stretching, they're fixing all of the holes in the ice with snow, sometimes after a figure skating team is done, there are holes from the front of their skates digging into the ice. thats why us hockey players hate figure skaters, accept the hot ones :)
