Very good film but poor choice in instrument to push the offending intestine back into the abdominal cavity. I would have a scrub tech hand a more dull and curved instrument; moverover, even a small retractor because that would be a bad complication to puncture the intestine and not know about it till the patient worsens at home. The surgeon has sterile gloves and can use his index finger to push and prod.

I just has this done on 1/11/12. The surgery went very well. I don't even feel it the hernia repair and no more bulge above the my junk. My abdomen is quite sore but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, It was done laparoscopic.

Had mine done exactly a week ago. Hole was only about 2 inches though so I guess it wasn't very big. First few days sucked. Could barely get in and out of bed. But now I am feeling about 75% better.

I HEARD THERE ARE MANY ROMANIAN DOCTORS WORKING IN AUSTRIA,GERMANY,USA,FRANCE,SPA
IN,ITALY.. I AM AFFRAID OF ROMANIAN DOCTORS..THEY SUCK..
MANY PATIENTS DIED BECAUSE THEY WERE TREATED BY ROMANIAN DOCTORS..
I WOULDNT HAVE SURGERY ...I DONT WANT MY LIFE TO DEPEND ON SOME unskilled Romanian doctor/surgeon..
Managers of Western European hospitals are seeking to hire Romanian doctors and nurses
this is wrong..DO NOT DO THIS,IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LIFE
Romanians are stupid gypsies..bad doctors.

Finally: the technical side: a hernia is a hole in your abdominal wall, to fix most use mesh, the mesh sits on the back side (inside) of the abdominal wall, covering the hole and the pressure from your intestine is what holds it in place. Sometimes there is a stitch or two to help hold in place, then your tissue grows into it and it becomes part of your abdominal wall making it stronger. It does not attach to your muscle. Other times they pull the hole closed & stitch up, usually in small cases.
TERRIBLE VIDEO! I tried doing this to my brother exactly the way they did in the video, and now he wont stop crying.
