elizabeth and jane they're both look like Taya Rogers of Prissana of thai movie star

lol the mom does not fit the description in my mind but I do prefer this version i find it goes more into the decription and the 2008 version. I also do like the colin firth version as well

this is a very good adaptation.
the actress who play elizabeth here does a great job and fits the character in book (as few others here noted) .
going by comments it seems most ppl judge quality of production by the looks of actor plating darcy. i am sure that jane (and elizabeth) would have had witty things to say about that.

@myh3artb3ats fitzwilliam is mr darcy's first name.......

@LovelyAlice831 the 2005 versionis beautifully done and i don't care it's not the most accurate, though colin firth was a good darcy, mathew mcfayden is the best ever and keira knightley is just a great elizabeth

This Darcy is ugly. Maybe he's just not my cup of tea, maybe he's really not very handsome, but I don't like him at all. Colin Firth is perfect Darcy. The most handsome, expressive and cute (well, maybe Darcy don't have to be cute, but I want him to be cute. Sorry.). My #2 is Laurence Olivier in 1940's version of "P&P". I also don't like this Lizzy, Jennifer Ehle was too lovely...So, the best version is 1995 version, but at least this 1979 film is better then Knightley's one.

although this is my least favourite version, there really is a lot to enjoy in this production! thanks for sharing!

2005 is the best one, keria knightly looks so beautiful (her neck is so long! jealous) and mr darcy just looks gorgeous in every scene. and plus the acting is amazing!

This is a good version story wise. BUT is a horrible production, this is like watching a PLAY on screen, as nearly all early BBC shows were at the time. It totally lacks a musical score during the picture and even sounds effects in the background are naught. You definitely know your on a sound studio with the lighting, the total quietness, its shot in video and the outdoor scenes in film. All of the newer versions are much more enjoyable to watch but I have it on DVD to watch another version.
I can't help it - Colin Firth is Mr Darcy in my mind. So nothing in this version is going to beat that I'm afraid.

This is a brill version you really need to see the whole thing & not judge on small clips.Mrs Bennett is the best by far & there are some real comedy moments. Liz totally fits book description - 'sweetness & archness' & Darcy does disgust with his manners & pride! Some most important scenes better here eg 2nd proposal & revelation of elopement scene. Bennett Sisters very funny here too.
