@adamchou Also, the mentality of a WC practitioner is usually if your opponent is not advancing, then you should be. Therefore, theoretically if your are close enough to be struck by hook you should be the one on the offensive driving your opponent into defensive action. Also, tight inside fighting should be a WC practitioner's comfort zone. Easier said then done.

@adamchou You're right. Those deflections will not be used for hooks/crosses. From what I've learned so far, one will use the bottom or top of your forearm to intercept a hook at the inside of your opponents elbow. Or intercept more towards the shoulder, depending on the distance. However, the preference is usually to let the strike pass in order to obtain a better angle/position.

@vinni614 i myself do wing chun and BJJ for the ground , and i dont concider any art worthy to be used in a stand up fight , ecept ving tsun and BJJ for the ground. If you want i can give you a list of schools were you can drop in and pose a challenge.

@vinni614 and threw the guy out of the school like a baby boy haha. At least two advanced ving tsun men in our school have fought against kickboxers , and they stopped the fight cause the kickboxer got hit in the trouth and , he sayd we were crazy. You need to be careful what you say about ving tsun bro , ving tsun was designed to destroy all other arts. And it does if trained correctly , unfortunatly macdojos are the rule rather than the exeption.
