@Jagged85 Yes, also Libya can not have ANY kind of "democracy" at the barrel of the NATO's Gun. No candidate that advocates that Libya have sovereignty over its own resources will be allowed on the ballot. The Rothschilds will see to it that Libyans become DEBT-SLAVES, now that Libya's Sovereign, Public Central Bank, which made Libya DEBT-FREE, has been replaced with a Rothschild Private Central Bank.

@Jagged85 Excellent comment. According to Rousseau's yardstick about what is-and what is not-a Democracy, Libya WAS more Democratic than the USA.

@moussti The UN's HDI gives the LIE to your statement. Under the U.S. Puppet Idris, Libya had the LOWEST standard of living in Africa. With, Gaddafi, the highest in Africa & even higher than Saudi Arabia, DESPITE the fact that Saudi has much more oil, & DESPITE crippling sanctions. Libya WAS a DIRECT DEMOCRACY. Libya was DEBT-FREE, because, unlike the Puppet NATO-Supported DICTATORSHIPS of Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, or Saudi Arabia, Libya had a non Rothschild PUBLIC CENTRAL BANK.

Have you not seen the countless peaceful protestors who've been beaten and arrested by police here in the West? Have you not seen the countless people who've been arrested and even killed simply for criticizing their Western government's foreign policies? Have you not seen Western governments infringing on free speech on the internet countless times? If you are too vocal against any Western government, then the consequences will nearly always be severe.

@Jagged85 what are you talking about?i am an american,have you not seen the protests of the iraq war?have you not seen the occupy wall street protesters protesting the gov't bailing out the banks with the peoples money?the only way you get arrested for protesting the gov't here in america is if you become violent.you have every right to protest the gov't and no one will arrest you as long as it is a peaceful protest.
Gaddafi's idea of democracy is a true direct democracy where the people have a say in every decision, which has worked very well in Libya these last few decades and, in my opinion, is far superior to our own representative "democracy" where it's simply the elected leaders that decide everything rather than the people. Western "democracy" is, in reality, an ogligrachy masquerading as a democracy. What Gaddafi wanted, and had achieved to a great extent, is a true democracy that benefits the poor.

@CrashAreYouReady
Interesting. It seems like Rousseau was also a very controversial figure in his time for advocating similar ideas to Gaddafi, criticizing representative democracy in favour of direct democracy.
