It really reminds me of how Macao used to be. I have such fond childhood memories of that city on the Pearl River delta. I must go to Madeira and see it for myself! Thanks so much for sharing!

How lovely ... thank you for posting and contrary to what some wrote i like the song( even if i am portuguese and my dutch is very limited) the words are very appropriate to a nostalgic view of Madeira by a dutch person.

Thank you for this video! I like the song, and I get the intention...but, what does it talk about? There is a an artist called Max, that was really hot in the 50's that sang about Madeira (he was a local)I recommend! THANKS A BUNCH!! Loved it!

Thank you Snigurka for your kind words. The song is in Dutch (by Wim Sonneveld) and its about how a certain village was in the past. I of course would prefer a Portuguese version of it and place it on this video. I do know Max and I also love his songs.
