  • Thank you for the interest in the video. Please send an e-mail request to my Hotmail account: shaolinson@hotmail.com

I would be happy to correspond further with you from there.

  • I think so, but honestly I just put the film together. At the place in Kyoto I filmed this (the Kyoto Handicraft Center), I don't think the colorist change blocks much. But, I think at that point he was only working on one color. Don't know if that helps much :-(

  • placed into my playlist of Ukiyo-e, thanks

  • Much appreciated. Thanks for the kind words.

  • Thanks so much for the comment! I often wonder what people think of these vignettes. Guess I should start posting more of them..... :-)

  • Hi. I work for North Carolina Virtual Public Schools as an online instructor. We would like to link this video in our Art 1 course for high school students. Unfortunately, You Tube is blocked and we are unable to use it further. Can we have permission to place this or can you place this in Teacher Tube so that we can use it in our printmaking module? I could not find your email address here or I would have requested it via email. Please let me know asap. Lee Ann Kitzmiller

  • i still don't get it..??

do we have to use different woodblock for different colours... if I want to used 4 different colours then do I have to carve 4 different woodblocks..??

  • Japanese woodblock printing plus Miles Davis 1956: such a great combination. Many thanks!
