  • seriosly? this exists?

  • Love yourself and competitions wont matter to you :)

  • If any of you are real yoga practitioners then you should know better. It takes many hours of gruesome training to become a Black Mat Master and following the Chinese tradition of respect and honor to everyone. This practice is on going process...maybe forever. Perhaps you should revisit your instructor and get better informed. I'm already on my third mat with a focus on the ultimate Black Mat.

  • Yoga competitions look like gymnastics (Olympics?) For centuries the Chinese used this technique that involves body, soul & spirit. The only competitions I know is to achieve the Honor to be a MASTER of the BLACK mat, therefore becoming certified to teach.all of us the beautiful Art.

  • Yoga is really not as easy as it looks and if you're a practitioner you know that not only does it work the whole body using your own strength (no props here just your body) aside from this practice it teaches you many techniques that you can use in everyday life. Concentration, stability, helps many ailments that modern medicine try to fix with a pill. With yoga you learn to listen to your body and execute poses to help you relief those symptoms. I know I have osteoarthritis & it works for me.

  • Championships focus on the external aspects of yoga, the superficial, stripping yoga from its essence, inner growth...

  • Competion in Yoga?! What a shame...

  • HAHA...totally agree...maybe people just being creative?

  • When you put it that way, I see what you mean. I understand. Ah well. These days you can make a competition out of anything, why wouldn't people stop to think about yoga? There are even grocery bagging competitions so anything is possible.. lol..

  • I personally am a yoga practitioner and i know what's the difficulty and so on...but competition? I doubt that I'll agree...anyway, It's an opinion of mine.. =)

I believe that yoga is meant for oneself and for them to understand themselves more...but when there's competition...i think yoga dont exist...
