@element9977 I currently sail On Moreton Bay In SlartyBartFast, Its a club boat from southport, 1299, very fast in strong winds, hopefully sonn ill get into a 13 footer, then hopefully a 16 footer, and if im lucky, have a bit of fun in an 18 for a few seasons

0.16-power gives way to sail....according to the IRPCS's............unless it is a working ferry sticking to a channel....even if the skiff IS parked with no momentum!! Class!! My bros has an 18 and took part in Sydney a couple of years ago.

thats right, government vessles that fly the orange diamond, have absolute rights. however, it can be argued quite easily, that he could have altered course. and that particular ferry driver almost repeated the exact same incident in jan '08 at the Flying11 Nationals (in which i took part) where on the first reach, wen ever1 was tightly bunched, he went straight thru the middle wen there was plenty of water to go round....dickhead!!
