  • you would think they would show one completed so we could see what it looks like together.

  • @fromley107 Do you mean static display or actually RTF? If we have time during unboxings we usually do a static display and take a picture..With the Wilga we did not have much time. While we would love to have all our planes RTF it takes some time. We should have couple RTF ECOMRC planes in the near future with flight videos. The unboxing videos are meant to help people get an idea of what they can expect when they receive their plane. Thank you for your feedback!

  • What would you recommend as a motor for electric power? Thank you in advance for your response.

  • @rgthd007 We would recommend a Power 160 with a 18x8 prop on 10 cells, we’ve had great luck with other planes of the same size and weight flying with that same combo.

  • @troybuiltmodels Thank you for your response, much appreciated.

  • @krbosak Thanks for your words of caution. I agree that some new to the hobby might not understand what's involved. I could figure out what to use but it would be useful if others have already found a winning combination for an electric conversion.

  • @rgthd007 Then you are well equipped for the hobby. Just wanted to make sure you understand what is going on at that size. Good luck, let's wait for TBM recommendations about specific engine choice.

  • @krbosak I've got lots of 6s 5000mAh packs that will allow me to run 12s (or more) if necessary. I've got larger planes that have been converted to electric and thought this would be a fun scale plane. Our field limits gas/nitro planes to one day a week so electric flight is the way to go for mid-week flying. Plus, it's so much less hassle.

  • @rgthd007 I think you would spend a fortune (maybe 1500EUR for 2 battery sets) to power that bird. The real beauty of this plane is the ability to mount boxer or tricyl. The reason is the real one makes a distinctive radial engine noise, one would expect the same from the model. I think it would work best as STOL demonstrator: high power, lots of flaps and lots of noise. Also good for RC tow plane. The bird is heavy, above where electrics are nice and quiet - take 15000mAh battery.

  • Please do a flight review on this plane with the 36cc engine and a compitent pilot, I may just get this plane this spring for a tug - WOW!
