  • @ShayLee0501 Why look at the glass half empty? Why cant we just accept some of the realities and universal truths without having to bitch and moan about what isnt real or what's mislabeled! The man survived an ordeal, let's recognize that!

Why do we have to break everything down and say "I've seen worse" or "there's gotta be something more tragic to compare it with!

The man survived an ordeal, I accept that. A movie was made. Is it fair to compare 127 Hours to Schiundler's List? Probably not.

  • @darkerpoet I'm not just talking about this scenario when I mention nationality. Did u c 'Not without my Daughter'? A US woman hired ex military mercs to get her daughter back from the middle east after her husband stole them during a weekend visit, to a place they are legally the father's 'property' & US court orders mean nothing? What about the woman famous in Australia for a similar thing & had to wait 15 years for her children to escape? Fighting for all those years? No movie again!

  • @darkerpoet I think u (maybe) mixed 2 of my comments. I said "First" bc I was the first to post in the comments. Also, I only meant why did other people this happened to not get movies too bc their stories were just as horrific or in some cases much worse. It annoys me this guy is considered a hero when his own stupidity got him in the situation (credit to him, he realises this now). The heroes are the ppl who try to help others & end up dying, maimed or suffering as a result.

What are you, 12 years old?! Why does it have to be "the first person" to do such a thing to have a movie made about them?! Aron Ralston's story inspires the strength of the human spirit and will to survive, regardless of nationality!

  • Aron Ralston isn't the first dude to have to cut his own arm off to survive something. There's been a few Australian farmers out on remote properties who've had trees or tractors fall on them and have had only a rusty pocket-knife or worse to amputate their own limbs. I guess they only make movies out of American victims.
