@nimali2009 Another unusual tradition (in the Western sense) which is not adhered to as much nowadays (as Halloween has become ever more popular), involves children dressing up as witches (Påskkärringar) during Easter, and basically going "trick or treating"; lore states that the witches fly to Blåkula on the Thursday prior to Easters.

Well you're watching something which is a part of the Swedish culture, namely the Midsummer celebrations, arguably the most important Swedish holiday. Other cultural traditions include the Julbord at Christmas: with dishes such as Jansons Frestelse (which is delicious) & Dopp i Grytan. St. Lucia is another Swedish celebration which is celebrated on the 13th of Dec.
