Dvorak's Humoresque Op. 101 No. 7 is so popular in its various arrangements (especially for violin) that some may not have ever heard it in the original piano version. Here are all 8 of them played by Dvorak's compatriot Firkusny.
The tempo indications of the pieces and their starting points are:
No. 1 Vivace 0:00
No. 2 Poco andante 02:19
No. 3 Poco andante e molto cantabile 04:42
No. 4 Poco andante 08:22
No. 5 Vivace 10:41
No. 6 Poco allegretto 13:32
No. 7 Poco lento e grazioso 16:28
No. 8 Poco andante 19:09
I think Firkusny's initial tempo for the famous No. 7 is too fast for 'poco lento'. Or maybe I am just used to the more sentimental way it's usually presented. Beautiful performances otherwise.
I heard Humoresques little more slowly and it´s more beutiful, but it was delete.
