  • Rammlezee has passed away to a higher plain, he will always be known as an innovator in art as well as the anthem Beat Bop, RIP Brother.

  • Thankz GIZCOOL DAWG fo' uploadin' deez subway-legends - reminisce over dat glorious dayz.... i remember me as an youngstarr playin' Rammlezee in ma ghettoblaster and hangin' around da corner and hall of fames

  • Glorious days indeed, painting trains and subway walls, b-boyin on a piece of vinyl, jammin to dope joints blastin out the speaker. Young cats are missing out on the shit we used to do. Peace!

  • Anyone that (like me) isnt from NYC thank Henry Chalfont for bringing us graffiti, hip hop & break dance. Because (& I kid you not)with out him this whole movement may well have passed the rest of the world by. Style Wars & Subway Art was the only graffiti refrance for at least a decade! Pay respect!

  • made me want to out and bomb still makes me think of the summer with a box just staring at a graf spot for for hours, halcyon days for real

  • No.1 rap/hip hop tune ever.

  • @gizcool & its the illest track in the whole world ever

    ...

  • Comet, Blade, and IN.

  • I agree on Taki 183....but you must understand this is only from NYC culture....lt's been going on since cavemen. His-story is documented. Let's thank all who have taken the "Letter" to the next levels with style. Let's not forget that The RAMM:ELL:ZEE was able to MC to the moves of Rock Steady Crew. And to the utmost futurism of the Letter where he actually built the structure 3-dimensionally for flight! All 3 alphabets are on display at MoCA "Art in the Streets" exhibit. BKLYN Museum in 2012!

  • @finchley999 Before we can thank Henry Chalfant, We need to thank DJ Kool Herc first!! (without him and his Jamaican roots There wouldn't EVEN be any hip hop music. And then we need to thank taki183(the first known graffiti writer) and Crazy Legs and Frosty Freeze the whole Rock Steady crew, without these cats, there wouldn't be hip-hop and there wouldn't be anything for Henry Chalfant to document. Then we can thank Henry for his documentary work on the sub-culture and helping it expand.

  • I use this as a gauge for every song; not many come close. R.I.P. Rammellzee and thank you.

  • 'FORSE' !! * no.1 in Manchester 90
