  • If god rode a bike he would ride on these tyres.

  • @earthstick - If there is a God, he will ride tubulars ;) And FMB tubulars...

  • i used the pro 3's race last year. they were pretty good, definitely, but there were a couple issues.

when you ride them in the rain the rubber compound seems to disintegrate. after the season i had MANY cuts in the tires. the puncture protection is still fairly good for a race tire.

the second thing is I have read many rolling resistance studies and the continental GP 4000 S edition always comes out on top.

the conti's gp4000 Supersonic also having better tire wear and flat protection

  • @EmptyTheRoom Yep! I agree with you that GP4000 is a better tyre. GP4000 have moore pattern also on the sides, maybe that's why the grip is better on water?

  • I can't wait to get my set! I'm retiring my conti gp4000's and these are my next pair.

  • @zfreak33 they are very good. I also like the gp 4000. Hope you like them.

  • he said 240 tpi lol, it's 127

  • BTW, the 7 Grams is due to the wax used to coat the mold when the tire is made. after about 50 miles the 7 grams is gone. The tire itself IS 200g or less.

  • @EmptyTheRoom

I can't disagree more. I used GP4000 and 4000S. Both puncture every 10 miles. I fixed the problem with a kevlar tape liner. After another 500 miles they were squared off and cut up. Threads started to come away from the side wall where it meets the bead. I changed to ProRace3's and immediately noticed speed and cornering grip improved. I continued with them for 2000 miles and only suffered 2 punctures and minimal cuts. They were better in every way.
