President of India Visits Bali, Indonesia

The president of India arrived in Indonesia on Friday for a diplomatic visit. She traveled there despite the militant attacks in Indias Mumbai which have drawn most of Indias national attention.
STORY:
Indian president Pratibha Devisingh Patil began her visit to Indonesia with an informal stop in Bali Province. She was welcomed and honored by Balis top government officials through a traditional greeting similar to Indias.

President Pratibha had a chance to pray in a Balinese cultural ceremony in Taman Ayun Hindu Temple. She prayed to end the current militant crisis in her country, which was still ongoing at the time.

President Pratibha told reporters she mourns the victims and strongly condemns the gunmens actions. Her visit to Indonesia and other countries also aims to gain support to end violence.

Even though this isnt an official visit, President Pratibha has plans to talk about cultural and economic cooperation with the Bali governor before attending her official diplomatic visit to Jakarta, where shell meet with the Indonesian president.

u know until now, many rituals from other religion in indonesia also affected by hinduism era..

hinduism is not a religion,the british had to call/associate this strange but rich culture with some religion so they called it hinduism,no where in the scriptures like vedas,puranas ,upanishads or in the bagwad gita is a mention of the word 'hindu'..but sanathana dharmis call ourselves as hindus and have made this universal path to righteousness be referred to as a religion ...no one has created this dharma nor anyone can destroy/annihilate this dharma.

@OneDharmaYouMovement Bali was also subject and partially the result of Islamic encroachment (hindu Javanese migrants after fall of Majapahit) and subject to European colonialism, the puputan defensive assult against the Dutch is famous.

@kumarsa108 lol..you miss the invasion of the islamic arab the invasion of the european christians...the genocide that these peopel brought onto india....IS STILL AFFECTING INDIA...for over 1000years WE FOUGHT .......to stop india becoming a islamic and christian state...SO YES india has not been able to keep its faith in tact as in bali, but for 1000years we have been defedning for the VERY SURVIVAL OF OUR FAITH....we survived and now the next 50years we will bring back the glory.

The balinese uphold Hinduism better than Indians. Their land is beautiful because they have remebered to respect their environment, somthing Indian hindus have lost.
