UDK April Environmental Demo

The April UDK Beta just came out with some impressive new features. To show some of these off they gave us the GDC demo, which I'm giving to you. It's basically a big showcase, but it looks very nice.

are you able to go into this environment and play with it with a character? the same way it looks?

@NightzRoadx You can run around in there, but it's not really set up for that.

@micahpharoh ah ic, yeah i tried to play around in there but it just begins that scene, prolly gonna have to add a playerspawn actor or sumthin, lol anyways nice channel man you got some good tutorials up and seem too have alot of experience with UDK and Unreal Editor3. played ut2004 anychance?

@NightzRoadx If you right click inside the jungle area you can click Play from Here.

And yeah, UT04 is an old favorite of mine.

@micahpharoh yeah im pretty sure i tried to right click and play from here, but it just started up the animation cutscene thing. but ye man i though you'd like ut2004 since the editor in there was pretty big

@NightzRoadx You might have to manually disable the matinee sequence from within Kismet.
