Oh, how fantastic Caracciola-Karussell is!
-
Was amazing at the end of the race there when u see Francois Cevert punching the air congratulating his team mate that had just won the race, what a team Tyrrell had back in those days
-
Hope to see the Nordschleife again in a f1 gp

Best track ever. Fact.

Oh and back when Speed was Speedvision... man, it was great!! I remember getting home from school around 3pm here in Los Angeles, and they were showing a season highlight race of the BTCC.... It was great. I even remember them showing a show called "Legends of Motorsport" man.. that show was the best... Now Speed is more like the racing broadcasting equivalent to MTV...

As much as I really like Formula One... Its not the same sport it was for obvious reasons. Sure safety is an important thing, but when they do things that really make no sense, that even the drivers themselves don't like because they'll ruin the sport.. then its really going to just get worst and worst. For me the most exciting season that I've seen since I started watching Formula One High school back in 2000 was the 2004 season.. that was the fastest as well.

@bandman232 NASCAR has the same problem as F1, imo. Old NSCAR was quite a bit like a Le Mans event, pushing drivers and mechanical technology to the limit, lots of people out of the race as cars and drivers broke. It was good fun. New NASCAR is like new F1, the cars are computer-engineered blocks of boring, and there's so much focus on safety and reigning in the power that passing has disappeared. It's no longer much of a race, it's a sponsor parade. F1 still turns left more often, though.

While I love nascar, i also love F1. I went back and watched a lot of races from 1986 to 1999. Im also tired of people insulting NASCAR for what it is. It's about spectacle and side by side racing. Both very different styles, and I find comparing the two is like comparing a Jeep to a Ferrari. So what I like NASCAR as well, that doesn't mean i'm a hick or unintelligent. Modern F1 is quite boring compared to this. I hope they improve the racing with more side by side action.

@conservativedave1 - You are so right. This is just fantastic, fantastic stuff. The track was certainly about as dangerous as could be, but quite fascinating. And having Stewart giving commentary on his win... just great. Speed needs to run stuff like this. What a history lesson!

i'd love to see a new sports channel on the Market , something like * Racing History Classics * that would Promote Races Similar to the one shown here , i'd actually go out of my way to get such a Channel , still don't have Speed Channel and Judging by the Comments here .. i'm not Missing out on much .. lol ( Thank You For Uploading this Video )
