Islamic Forums Coalition - Fundraising for Pakistani Flood Victims [Oct 9, 2010]

Bismaillah, wassalatu wassalamu ala rasoolillah, assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

In light of the recent tragedies in Pakistan, various Islamic forums have come together for an online fund raising event in aid of our brothers and sisters. Many stories and images have been related to us and through us regarding the floods, but what have YOU done? What have WE done as an ummah? Know dear brother/sister that every image you've seen, every story you've heard about their suffering will serve as an excuse against you on the day of judgment if no action is taken on your part.

The Prophet s.a.w said, "The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are like the body. If one of the organs is afflicted, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever."

Where is YOUR fever?

The time has come for us to act in response to this adversity.

The Prophet ( PBUH) said " Whomsoever makes himself available for his brothers need and establishes that need then this action is better for him than doing Itikaf for 10 years, and whosoever does Itikaf for 1 day seeking the pleasure of Allah (SWT), Allah (SWT) will make between him and the fire of hell 3 trenches further in distance than the sky and earth"
