2.5" side exit exhaust... I had it like this a long time ago, then cut off the side part to where it was just turned down. I found that it created too much noise inside the car while it had the turndown, so i welded up another exit pipe. It's pretty quiet, really; my camera just picks up a lot of ambient noise.

  • Hmm..

Why dont you put a 2step, anti-lag system?

  • it isn't an anti-lag system, but it is a 2 step using the ecu to control the fuel cut. i'd prefer to use an msd 6al for an ignition cut, but i have other things to work on. i don't do a lot of racing anyway, and i don't use slicks, so anti-lag wouldn't be of much use to me.

  • i agree i supose i am a ford guy but that is just my favorite domestic car brand but i am not dence and i know that ther is alot of grat cars being built in the world that dont come from america. ther is a car company i think you might get a kick out of it is calld tatra one of my top five favorite car companys "hans ludwinka was a genius" you should check them out they are frome the czech republic emenceley great cars.

  • i totally understand. i just try not to limit myself to just one make like so many other people. i'll admit i was once a honda guy, but meeting so many closed-minded folks changed my outlook. there are so many more possibilities when you don't limit yourself.

as for the prelude - i haven't had it dynoed yet. the fuel curve is good, but i'm running on an ignition basemap and i need to tune that. but after all that i'm expecting somewhere around ~250 whp.

  • how much power are you getting out of that prelude? it is good to talk to some body that actually knows there stuff. so many honda guys don't know there ass from a hole in the ground i had a guy in a beat up little crx actually try to race me, i never even got to 4th gear, i should have put money on it before i beat him lol

  • oh, i know! the quad cam 4v/cyl... just plain awesome. you're right about that, but it would also cost quite a bit to get the engine. i don't know what it would be priced at compared to the ls, though. i'll look into that.

  • if you wanna go crazy you could track down a lt5 out of a zr1. it would actually be worth a lot of money when it was done.

  • i might. that was actually my first idea, but there's got to be some extra work done to get it into the chassis. i know for a fact the lt1 will drop right in with no problem. i am attracted to the top end of the ls1, though.

  • you might even want to look into putting a ls1 in that c4, the junk yards are littered with them and they make great power. plus you could actually possibly get about 30mpg in that lighter c4 they got 28 in the c5.

  • actually, i'm planning on finding a suitable c4 corvette -likely an '85 or so- and drop in a good lt1 and start from there.

you question about the lag... do you mean going from 2" to 3" exhaust or about shifting from second to third? if you're talking about my turbo lag, it does take around half a second to spool up if i'm at medium rpm's.
