Sorry for trying/hoping to apply a song to my current life and being really drunk when I do it, but I think the hallmark of a good song is that it does seem applicable to any time. Excuse me if I was that deeply moved by the band. And yes, understanding what the songs about is important to me. If thats not for you try listening to instrumentals

You still don't understand. i'll admit that it could be about the Reagen era, but Nasa wasn't decomisioned until Obama, and inequality didn't start under Reagen. I know as a a citizen who wasn't born under Clinton, who had to steal to feed his family, that this "inequality" wasn't created. The song is about selling drugs, forcing people into the same life that they were forced to live. The only way to get ahead is to force the addiction on others. @VonPerouski Well, I understand the desire to send people to the moon, but I meant that there isn't any real benefit over sending robots right now. And I meant the song is set in the time that Reagan was in the white-house; not that it's about Reagan or the president in particular. I think the song is about inequality (which started growing rapidly under Reagan, and is probably why he was mentioned), resentment, and society ignoring the regular folk.

@ektrules If you don't understand now you never will. The same reason people still climb Everest, because its there to be conquered. Also, this song isn't about the Reagen years. I don't know when this song was written, but its not about the president, its about the situation, which is prevelant in alot of poorer southern society. "I wish there was a better way of life" which is what everyone wants, but he's forced to sell drugs and put other people in his way of life. Living on the moon. tool

The video of DBT was really good - sound came out good as well. The other video clips don't really line up with the words - its just the same guy walking around (doesn't make sense). If you choose other shots that correlate to the words in some way it would be really cool. For example, when Patt says "Mary Alice in the ground" that would be a great time for a shot of an old cemetary or something. Other than that its cool though - great choice in song.
