@dfar1988 Perhaps, but that still doesn't give them cause to forget the relevence it has to the composer and the turmoil that gave way to its genesis.

Evgeny Svetlanov is a great conductor, he developed russian orchestral music in an energic and vivid sort of way, some of his performances are really a bit faster then some other conductors performances, for example, in Balakirev's Islamey, Svetlanov's performance is much faster than Igor Golovschin's performance.
