HAMMAR 155 HS - The MEGA transfer stabilizer

Hammar introduces the new MEGA stabilizer leg for the 150 Series cranes. Designed for easy and safe transfer of containers to and from companion chassis and rail wagons, even under the most difficult situations.

The patented stabilizer leg is extended over and to the other side of the companion vehicle. Alternatively it can kneel across both chassis rails on a flat bed trailer. The new MEGA stabilizer is safe and flexible. It is adjustable even to lower height companion trailers and it is guaranteed for 36 tonnes safe workload (SWL), although it is 260 Kg lighter in weight than the standard stabilizer. This means increased payload and profits!

Tupuna1850 - The majority (>90%) of our customers find the speed of our Sideloaders more than satisfactory. The speed of the MEGA 155 HS model is the same as for our other large models. A full lifting cycle takes 3.5 minutes, independant of the container weight. Increasing the speed could possibly save 20-25 seconds, but at the sacrifice of safety.

These stabilizers are not designed for handling 20ft containers separately. It is only possible to handle one 20ft, one 40ft or two 20ft containers connected together.

Depending on terrain speed plays a big part in swing-lift operations, this is way to slow, the hydraulic pump speed is to low it needs to be allot higher, but it's been stated that it's not achievable or not suitable for the hydraulic hoses............?
