Can Israel actually defeat Hamas?

Israeli forces pressed closer and into cities in the Gaza Strip today despite new international calls for a ceasefire in an 11-day-old conflict in which hundreds of Palestinians have been killed. But, in military terms, can the Israeli army defeat Hamas?

Watching the Palestinians suffer angers me and I feel that sitting at home and praying for them is not enough. I have an urge to go out there and physically support them, but if I go out to support the people of Palestine, I would be branded as a terrorist by my own government. It is ok for non-Muslims to go out and distribute food or help the casualties etc, but if a Muslim does the same for another Muslim he would be branded as a terrorist and traitor.

I have to congratulate hezbollah and hammas in turning the perception of themselves from terrorists to victims. They launch deliberate attacks on civilian population centers, explode bombs on buses and stores, then use palestians as human shields then cry war crimes. And while a lot of you pretend not to know what i'm talking about you will forever try to spin the terrorists as victims. The bottom line; Israel will never fall again!

What Pharoah did was not right, he wanted to kill all the followers of Moses. What Hitler did was not right either, because he killed millions of Jews for being Jew. We Muslims do not kill people for following another religion. We do not oppress and we will always fight the people who oppress regardless of what religion they follow. We need to set an example to the world and implying that the actions of Hitler and Pharoah are heroic is not going to help.

Christians, Jews and Muslims lived peacefully until the zionists came. Do you even know why Hamas formed? Targeting Hamas would be like finding a needle in a haystack, which is why Hamas will never be defeated. This 'offensive' by the Israelis will only radicalise the Muslim Youth around the world and that is exactly what Israel wants.

Israel will never defeat Hamas. Hamas are only few in number who are firing rockets from only few locations in the Gaza strip otherwise the casualties in Israel would have been far more than just 5 or 6. Does anyone stop to think why Hamas formed. Israelis attack on Palestinians has not been going on for only 18 days, but has been ongoing for years.
