The second episode of a 5 part documentary on the history of Hinduism.

P.S.: Do not take all facts/opinions mentioned in the documentary at absolute truth value since the presentation is from a western perspective.

  • The approach of the documentary is very abrupt and ethnographic. It focuses on "exotic" rituals and history, but never goes deep into the spiritual philosophy of being in Hinduism. The many gods in Hinduism are only manifestations of one source, like all colors stem from white... The concept of God descending to earth in different forms is developed in Hinduism, just like the concept of the "personal" god has been, whereas it is masked in other so-called monotheistic religions. Rings a bell..?

  • @gospeltruthful Deuteronomy 21:10-13

    10When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive, 11And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;

  • Buddhism was the dominant religion until the middle ages

  • Which one of these many gods can heal and/or change a man?

  • Karma & Rebirth means We are ACCOUNTABLE for our actions. We take Responsibility.

Karma & Rebirth means that we enjoy the Gift of Life, over & over again!

Karma & Rebirth means there is no place for a Hell, no sadistic God running a torture chamber

Karma & Rebirth means that We EARN everything. A Hindu must never beg nor take anything that is unearned

Karma & Rebirth means we Hindus earn Praise FROM God! Anyone fool can praise God, but Blessed are the Hindus that aim to earn Praise FROM God!

  • its about being open minded and realizing its not about whos right or wrong, its whatever floats your boat, some people are good with water, some need blood...

  • @mcsnavely its not really rape

  • @SimonElHabre Pantheism?

  • @SimonElHabre then if hinduism see god in all the religions, can hindus believe as well in the gods from shenism and shinto? a hindu can believe and pray to shens ( shenist deities) or kamis (shinto deities) like the shen "mazu" goddess of the sea or the kamis "inari" or "amaterasu"

  • @gospeltruthful As an active, participating Christian I'm disgusted with what you are doing here. If you think this is how you should spread your beliefs you are terribly mistaken. This is belligerent and a blatant disregard for other's beliefs. Spamming bible quotes to try and prove another religion is false is denigrating and disrespectful. You should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @gospeltruthful Christianity is a jewish relgion of slavery. You go and bath yourself in the blood of the jewish blood sacrifice...Meanwhile be a little ashamed of yourself for not being born as a jew.

  • "Many will say to me on that day "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform miracles?" Then I will tell them plainly, " I never knew you, Away from me, you evildoers" Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall because it had foundation on the rock."

  • "By their fruit you will recognise them .Do people pick grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that doesn't bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognise them. Not everyone who says to me,"Lord, Lord I will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

  • "How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him! So in everything do to others what you would have them do to you for this sums up the Law n the Prophet Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it.But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it. Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ferocious wolves"

  • I believe Karma only applies for good deeds. Not bad deeds.

  • sid gautama and krishna are similar ! : )

  • "Do not give dogs what is sacred, do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them and tear you to pieces.Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives he who seeks finds and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you if his son asks for bread will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then though are evil, how to give good gifts to your children."

  • "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in yr own eye. How can you say to yr brother, "Let me take the speck out of your eye, when all the time there is plank in your own eye?"

  • "Yet I tell you that not even King in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into fire will He not much more clothe u O u of littloe faith? So do not worry saying what shall we eat, what shall we drink or what shall we wear? For the Pagans run after all these things and yr heavenly father knows that you need them. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness n all things will be given unto you"
