The TV Ad is actually from the 1952 Presidential Campaign, not 1956. It would seem a little strange for the incumbent President in 1956 (Ike) to call for a change in leadership!

Many people don't realize that in a certain month in 1956, nearly a million jobs were lost; even though today it is viewed as a prosperous year. Ever era has always had its issues.
