Engineers Without Borders at Queen's hosted their first annual Smashing Pumpkins to Smash Poverty event on Friday! The 1000 lb pumpkin was generously donated by John and Sue, and dropped 150' from a crane, donated by Don White, for a cheering crowd of Queen's students.

The event was in support of the ACT Campaign, asking for better Accountability, Creativity, and Transparency in Canada's foreign aid. For more information and to learn the specific requests, go to http://act.ewb.ca.

The smash was captured with a Canon 7D shooting at 60 fps.

Thanks to everyone who came out! Special thanks for the contributions:
John and Sue Vincent - 1000 lb pumpkin
Don White - 150' crane
