Turkish airplane crash in Amsterdam (Schiphol) - 25 Feb 09

This is what happened in the dutch, an turkish airplane crashed near Schiphol (Amsterdam) around 30 minutes past 10.

Nine dead in plane crash Schiphol

Nine people died when the plane they were in crashed near Schiphol. Certainly 80 people were injured.

Severe

Six of the injuries are very serious condition, 25 others have 'proper' injuries. From 31 people, the nature of their injuries yet to be determined. The 80 injured have been transferred to eleven hospitals in the region.

Crew

Among the dead are at least three crew members. Several sources reported that two pilots of the aircraft would be deceased. The deputy mayor of Haarlemmermeer confirmed that yet. At this moment, the passenger list analyzed to clarify who exactly was on board.

128 passengers

The accident happened around 10:30. A Boeing 737 of Turkish Airlines was en route from Istanbul to Amsterdam. On the plane were 128 passengers and seven crew members. Some 600 meters before the runway, the Mountain Course, crashed along the A9 to Rottepolderplein.

Hospitals

After the crash in a muddy field, the aircraft broke into three pieces. It did not flew on fire. The rescue was quickly underway. Wounded on stretchers were removed and tracked vehicles to ambulances. They were in various hospitals in the region absorbed.

CAUSE

What is the cause of the crash is still unknown. Experts do investigations after. Even Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven of the Council for Road Safety is on the ground. Turkish Airlines is not on the blacklist of airlines.

Relatives

Turkish Airlines initially reported that all aboard had survived the accident. Later, the first bodies contained. Relatives at Schiphol were in fear and were taken to a sports hall in Badhoevedorp brought. The survivors of the crash and relatives have been reunited. Internet is a condolence register opened in memory of the victims of the disaster.

[Concequence]

one crash does not undermine the entire fleet of the Turkish Airlines, nor does it give people the right to swear at the pilots. If they had intentionally sabotages the plane, I'd have yelled along with everyone else, but they tried to save as many as they could, even if they failed to see the alarm before hand. I'm sick and tired of people hating each other under the excuse of nationality, race or religion.

Faulty Pilots altimeter caused the crash, together with miss interpreted info from the auto pilot landing system.
