  • it is kind of racist text. I find that excellent when I was 12 . sure some society are more barbares than others !

  • LOL

  • It's all in the Federalist papers, which you can Google, and on the official U.S. Electoral College, web site which frankly states that that Waghington endorsed many og Jefferson's

ideas, including a legeslature modeled after the Roman Senate, and an an Electoral College modelled after the Electoral system of the Holy Roman Empire and the Electoral system of cardinals to advise and elect the Pope.

  • And he was NOT amb to France ' he disliked both Robespierre and Buonaparte and actually was ambassador to a place called Savoia, where he studied Italian, read the Commedia and viewed the Shroud, and recommended that Italian become the official languague of the U.S. He named his plantation "Monticello", which means "Little Mountain".

  • Please cf. Manzoni, I Promessi Sposi. The similarities are eerie. Does anyone know if the two collaborated? Thomas Jefferson hated the Constitution and boycotted the 1787 and 1789 conventions. Many think he was self appointed ambassador to France under the 13 year Articles of of Confederation, and many American historians cannot give you a straight answer. My feeling is that he wanted an Italian-style system that prevailed from the medioveo until the Risorgimento.
