Hundreds of family and friends of Andre Maloney attended a vigil Sunday night at Shawnee Mission West High School in Overland Park to remember the Shawnee Mission West football player. Maloney died Friday, Oct. 4, after suffering a stroke. The star wide receiver/defensive back who helped lead his team to a state championship last year came off the field after catching a touchdown pass in a game Thursday night and suddenly became incapacitated. He died the next day after emergency surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain was unsuccessful. (Oct. 6, 2013 Video by Chris Ochsner | The Kansas City Star)
