"The song is called "Been Through the Wars" (from my CD - SEE WHAT THE MORNING BRINGS) which is also a line in this song.

This song came out quickly; the chorus first. Some songs are like that, they just keep driving themselves out.

I was thinking about life and how hard things turn into good things; how what seems so important at one time becomes almost irrelevant later, and vice versa.
After everything is said and done, life really IS a beautiful thing.

It was written in the context of talking with someone (maybe a younger person) who doesn't believe things will ever get better. "
