Pony Plays "Chase the Tiger!" - Clicker Training Game

In this video, 8 year old Zoey teaches Wallie how to play "Chase the Tiger." The "tiger" is a bandana tied to a training stick. When Wallie catches the Tiger, he earns a click and a treat. Zoey gives Wallie a nickel-sized amount of low-sugar grain. Chasing the Tiger will help Wallie build stamina. He is normally a very lazy pony and we had to think of a creative way to condition him! Wallie also did some beautiful "pounces" that we weren't able to catch on video. They were a great start to terre à terre, a high school dressage movement.

Chase the Tiger helps your pony learn to be exuberant and playful. Playing this game will help him become confident expressing his feelings, which will build communication and camaraderie with you. The more you play, the more creative and talented your horse will become.

Zoey is leasing him from Evans Welsh Ponies. He's for sale. He's only 3.5 so Zoey has done all his training herself, including starting him under saddle. He's riding wtc now, tho :)
