Ghetto women tell their side

Soca Star, Illah Man may have best expressed the sentiments felt by a number of women who witnessed the Police raid in Castries on Sunday. Like him the women say for too long, poor people have suffered. They have made an appeal to the Police to do their job but to do so fairly and without bias. A similar call has been made by one Castries MP. The women have also called for an end to the recent violence that has plagued the city.

i feel pity for them. Let's hope they can somehow find the strength and vision for empowering themselves and taking themselves out of this mess, not waiting for someone to do it for them. They have to de-victimise themselves.
