i love this book! i read both a farewell to arms and the things they carried and although i liked a farewell to arms better, this book was amazing! Tim O'Brien will go down as one of the greatest writers in history, at least in my book :)

@ITSaLIFESTYLEinc seriously? this is one of the best books of all time. i did a research paper on this in 12th grade and i loved doing it. when you get into the depth of this book theres so much to appriciate. O'brien is one of the best authors of our generation

I'm reading the short story "The Things They Carried," and am a little confused. Is it both a full novel and a short story?

@PsychoSocialChange Yes--"The Things They Carried" is the title story in a longer collection of related stories about a platoon in the Vietnam War.
