  • Some great information here. I use a little foundation and lipstick when I dress up. It lasts for about six months. I by one that is very light weight. I do not use perfumes. You have beautiful skin naturally. You are fortunate you do not need make up. I love the idea of the shea butter. A lot of processed lotions make me itch. Right now I am using a bottle of Oil Of Olay. I will check it. I use Cold pressed industrial sized Olive Oil. What is the benefit of coconut over olive oil? One-

    Coconut Oil helps with metabolism, heart disease, and thyroid function and is higher in the medium chain fatty acids which do not raise the bad cholesterol levels. It can also take higher cooking temps which make olive oil rancid. I would feel ill when using olive oil to bake or fry.

    It is better absorbed by my hair and skin than olive oil. So I save my olive oil as a dressing base.

  • Back when I worked at GNC a lady came in and had shiny hands. Eventually she told me that she used Crisco... butter flavored. I'm not completely sure she was satisfied with it because to the best of my memory she was buying coco butter (which smells awesome BTW). I think she used the Crisco as a temporary measure but it left a memory for these 15 years since then.
