Sick baby rattie

She probably has mycoplasma.

Betsy was horribly sick when I got her from the pet shop...I cured it with a dropper of O.J. with a drop of oil of oregano in it and steam treatments. You boil some water and put it in a cup set it inside a small cage with the rat and hold the rat still so it doesn't get burned and then put a towel over the cage for 15-20 minutes a couple times a day.....it worked.

She was never sick after that.

I know you're not supposed to give them OJ (lycopene) but I did.

Mycoplasma is a bacteria present in all rats sinuses. If the rat as a lowered immune system this over populates and causes Upper respitory infections.

The symptoms of that are sneezing, porphorin, and wheezing.

This was a neurological illness that will stay with this baby for life. She is being treated with the same drugs used on people with epilepsy.

Im sorry I did't mean to come off sounding like a jerk....I just worry so many people post horrible vidoes here (like som guy put his baby rat in a microwave) Just from the description I thought you meant the las hour of her life...my deepest apololgies and Im glad she is better : )

I didnt let them suffer. This video was done at 3am. They were taken to the vet at 9am andall are now on medications.

If you do not know thesituation dont make such comments.

Ok you should have taken them to vet instead of letting them suffer.......
