  • Did you have the Long Exposure Noise Reduction disabled for the Bulb examples? I did not see "Job nr" flashing in the control panel at the end of the exposures.

  • I probably did.

  • @nealundell yes

  • does this work for nikon d3100 ? :)

  • Everybody please note! The Phottix Plato is not fully compatible with the Nikon D5000. The on board pop up flash is physically restricted from popping up. It makes no difference whether the hot shoe mounted remote is facing forward or backwards; the pop up flash will not work! And no one should be deceived into spending their money to have the remote hanging off your neck strap. That's stupid. The remote is designed to be on the hot shoe.

  • @agc1976: I ended up getting a RPS Studio wireless remote shutter to replace the "cheap" remote. I have much more confidence in this new remote and I wouldn't suggest anyone get the one in this video.

  • @steveminla Mine just died too... My transmitter does not acknowlege that the receiver is in range and will not fire. Were you able to fix yours?

  • I've added a flip up and down magnifier/viewer that drops a lupe style viewer with soft rubber body down over my rear viewer screen on my Canon 5D Mark II. It mounts in the flash shoe. I'm hoping this phottix will mount on top of my viewer and still function. (going real long lens these days...so need both)

  • Mine just died! I'm not getting a signal to the receiver/transmitter ( not seeing two green lights ).

  • Thank you for your time to show us how it works and the taping thumb very good

  • Thanks very much for this very detailed and well shot overview of the trigger. I was considering getting the Cleon II for my D300 but I am glad I saw this video, I prefer the look of this model much more.

  • Hi sir, thanks for a good demo...
