HD MBTA Express Train flys by Route 128 with a New Eco-Friendly Engine

I was quite pleased to see one of the new MP36 locomotives, aka the purple twinkies, leading this express commuter rail train through the Westwood Route 128 Amtrak/MBTA station.

The MP36PH-3C is a new ultra-low emissions diesel passenger engine that complies with EPA Tier II emissions and fuel consumption standards.
