The well-known score by Jan Bürger and Oliver Gies, presented as an encore by Chor des Gymnasiums Oberwil, Switzerland, on May 21 and 22, 2011. This version was filmed on May 22.

Please notice that these 60 young people are singing without being conducted. Unfortunately I had no better camera to record the fascinating concert which included works from Benjamin Britten, Hanns Eisler and Heinrich Sutermeister.

  • Say a prayer for the woman who wrote this song for Till Lindman. She was suffering horribly having to make a decision to abort a child and save her own life.

If she never had the abortion..this song would never have been written. By denying one life she gave joy and life to so many others.

Each day we make choices at the expense of others so that we may succeed.

What life have you walked over today so that you get ahead?

This version of her words rings so true to her feelings..........

  • @taraannrose Where did you read about the origin of the lyrics? Please tell me the exact source, with a link, if possible.

  • The trick in understanding Rammstein's texts is in the ability to read between the lines ;) Aside from that understanding and feeling the German language is a requirement too.

  • @holodock As Karl Kraus wrote: "The German language is the deepest. German speech is the shallowest." Till Lindemann's lyrics are more than German speech.

  • @PR0ST0MAN: Why should kids want to be angels in heaven? They must live as human beings on earth. And this song is not against angels in general. It's about the loneliness of angels in heaven. So a kid who hears this song could want to become an angel on earth and act as a social being . The meaning of this beautiful song depends on the listener's capacity to listen to the lines between the words. All kids should learn it from their parents and at school.

  • What's wrong with abortion anyway?

  • @taraannrose sorry, but u post ur crap under every second rammstein related movie, with a wide range of probably mostly invented BS. Do u have nothing better to do with ur life? Rather sad actually!

  • How sad it is that Rammstein has ruined what could be beautiful music as it was written by his American ex girlfriend ....and turned them into Sadomaschism sex chants.

This version is so beautiful. Thank You.

  • AH GOTT ICH WEISS ICH WILL KEIN ENGEL SEIN!!!!!! wunderbar :)
