  • I'm confused by the term 'reversing' type one. To me that means the insulin producing cells of the pancreas are now working which would be impossible in type one. Yes, his insulin needs diminished because of the foods he is eating but this doesn't reverse the illness. He eats a cheeseburger on a bun tomorrow he will need to give himself insulin.

  • He was my favorite participant in the Simply Raw movie, and I'm not surprised he decided to become an ND. He was the most nurturing of the entire group, and I'm very happy to see his success!

  • @colecrew5 Exactly! Under 5 carbs of veggies, we don't need to give insulin for our child for that, but throw in some legumes, avocado, carrots, thats another story.

  • Our family ate this way before and drank your green smoothies, yet our little girl was recently diagnosed with Type 1 after a stay in the ICU. Confused people are commenting to me all the time, "but your family eats so healthy". I'm so frustrated with all of the miss information out there on Type 1. Without insulin, people with Type 1 can not survive. Please keep in mind that you are dealing with children and parents of children with Type 1 here.

  • Wow great interview!! will post on FB

  • Mmm Popeyes...:) J/K!...kinda

  • @akwolfsong Mind you this was over a period of years trying to control my blood sugar by every means known to man and had finally accepted an early death. As a last ditch effort I went on a starvation diet because that seemed the only way to keep sugar in 170-290 range. As I was researching the pancreus I found a video on rawfood living. I tried it and tada! My doc was actually mad that my A1C went from 12 to 6.7 w/o his help & ranted that food alone couldn't do that. He's not my doc anymore. :D

  • I'm on the fence with type one and reversing completely but I do know this works with type 2. I got diabetes when I was pregnant. My doc said it would go away because I ate a pretty healthy diet and excersised. However it didn't. Also I am allergic to sulphenorias which are what the majority of diabetic meds are made of. He said insulin so I tried it and had no control over it with it. So I decided to go raw. I watched my blood sugar go from 300-400's to 80-130. No fruits except berries. works!

  • Why didn't you interview someone who actually managed their diabetes before trying this "miracle diet"? "Reversing" Diabetes means no insulin. How is that possible? Even if you don't eat carbs (which is unhealthy not to eat some) and not need a shot for meals you still need a basal insulin to keep you liver from dumping out sugar and making your blood sugar go up. You need to educate yourself on the disease before making claims like this. I hope no one is hospitalized because of thisvideo

  • i want to come off & stop injecting insulin 4 times a day,but i do not want to go raw,i went raw vegan, vegan, vegetarian and i lost so much weight,i am now Pescetarian vegeterian and i have but back on the weight and muscle and i will stay eating this diet i eat 100% organic whole foods, what do i need to do next ??do i just stop taking the insulin?? how long will it take 4 the body to heal and blood sugar to normalize???
