Classic Game Room reviews the NINTENDO 64 video game console from Nintendo released in 1996. The N64 is Nintendo's 64-bit answer to the Atari Jaguar and plays videogame cartridges instead of CDs like the Playstation and Sega Saturn. This video review of Nintendo 64 shows a gray N64 videogame console with a matte grey finish and blue controller. The N64 is the successor to the Super Nintendo SNES game console (and uses the same wires) and the predecessor to the Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo Wii. This CGR review of Nintendo 64 system shows the N64 game system in glorious HD video.

Thumbs up if you used to play Zelda on N64 and thought it was awsome!

Or the Super NES, due to the shell and game cart discoloration on all American models.

Nintendo 64 could've been a 2D powerhouse add with the ram cart would've out beat Neo Geo and Sega Saturn in terms of 2D games.

The N64 is built like a tank, more like a bunker (remember the level from Goldeneye?) actually. It cannot break down unless you put it into water or set it on fire. This thing will survive a nuclear attack, tornado and earthquake, all at the same time. It's probably the only console that you can pass on to your kids in the future and they in turn can give it to their children. That can't be said of other crappy, fragile 90s cd based consoles.
